Dekton is a highly compact material created from raw components found in glass, porcelain, and quartz. It is a great choice for kitchen countertops because it is durable and resistant to scratches, stains and heat. Dekton is UV-resistant and has a low water absorption rate, making it a good choice for outdoor entertaining spaces.
Cosentino, a family-run company from Spain, has been established in Canada since February 2015. Their brands include Silestone, Dekton, and Sensa. Their company actively works towards achieving zero waste in Dekton production by recycling and reusing scrap material.
As part of parent company Cosentino’s ongoing sustainability efforts, the brand has received an Environmental Product Declaration for Dekton, offsets its emissions rendering Dekton a carbon neutral product, and implements Corporate Social Responsibility policies in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Our choice, Kovick Matte, is described has having neutral base tones and subtle details, characterized by the natural movements of its veins, set in a clear grey, neutral background.
